Organizational Context and Scope

Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) is a system to track and monitor displacement and population mobility, and it is designed to regularly and systematically capture, process, and disseminate information providing a better understanding of the movements and evolving needs of displaced populations, whether on site or en route. In recent years, DTM has become increasingly recognized as the primary source of displacement and migration data and information source at the country, regional, and global levels. As a result of its worldwide presence, flexibility, and interoperability, the DTM is now being implemented in Pakistan.

One of the core functions of DTM is data collection targeting various types of mobile population and community living with them through variety of methods such as face to face and/or telephonic interviews.  In continuing its efforts on conducting data collection in several identified locations with various type and a high number of migration and mobility, DTM will need numerous numbers of enumerators.

Under the direct supervision of the Project Assistant (provincial Coordination) and the overall supervision of the DTM Coordinator, the enumerators will be responsible to organize and supervise data collection activities in the district and conducting the data collection process itself. Besides, the Project Assistant will also be responsible for the deliverables of the following duties:

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Provide support to the enumerators in identifying potential Key Informants and facilitators.
• Review scanned forms daily for errors and physically verify hard copies during field visits.
• Ensure regular field visits to monitor enumerators' performance and provide guidance as needed.
• Ensure KOBO entries are made timely, ideally on the same day the interviews are collected.
• Verify the quality of the collected data and provide feedback to enumerators to improve data accuracy.
• Provide ongoing training and support to enumerators to ensure they understand and adhere to survey protocols.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed by enumerators during fieldwork
• The progress tracking sheet must be updated daily.
• Share daily enumerator progress reports with the provincial focal persons of DTM.
• Maintain regular communication with the enumerators to address any challenges they face promptly.
• Supervise the WhatsApp group and ensure that everyone is sharing their live location.
• Responsible for the integrity and protection of data by following IOM’s Data Protection Manual.
• Participate in briefings, orientation sessions, and training as required.
• Represent the program professionally and correctly for the assignments.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor   

Education

A minimum secondary school diploma from an accredited educational institution. A completed Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution is an advantage.

Experience 

• Undergraduate degree or fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Having experience in face-to-face or phone interviews for data collection is an advantage.

Languages

Several language skills are required:

• Fluency in Urdu is a must
• Fluency in other languages spoken by Pakistanis (e.g., Balochi, Pashto, Punjabi, Sindhi) is an advantage.
• Being able to communicate in English is another advantage.
