A leading development sector organization is seeking a dynamic Access to Finance  Specialist to enhance livestock MSME access to financial services and strengthen the livestock value chain. This role focuses on creating strong linkages between MSMEs and financial institutions to enable credit access, business growth, and geographic expansion of financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions at provincial and district levels to facilitate MSME access to credit.
  • Organize orientation events, advocacy sessions, and seminars to connect MSMEs with financial institutions in target districts, in coordination with co-applicant partners.
  • Map financial products and services and share relevant information with MSMEs for informed access to finance.
  • Coordinate provincial meetings with financial institutions and facilitate matching grants for business development.
  • Assist MSMEs in developing business proposals to secure financial services and support the expansion of financial services in underserved areas.
  • Ensure timely dissemination of project information in the MIS, providing regular updates on activities, targets, and project impact.
  • Collaborate with M&E teams to strengthen processes and address gaps in access-to-finance activities.
  • Document grant utilization, success stories, and best practices for digital platforms and donor visibility.
  • Facilitate field visits and data collection with project stakeholders to assess MSME outcomes and impact.
  • Support social mobilization, financial literacy training, business planning, and exposure visits for MSMEs.
  • Mentor MSMEs in lending documentation, account opening, and proposal development, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
  • Actively participate in district- and provincial-level committees, workshops, and events to represent the project.
  • Supervise loan implementation compliance and ensure accurate data management in the MIS.

Key Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in MSME development, financial inclusion, or business development, preferably in the livestock sector.
  • Strong expertise in credit facilitation, financial literacy, stakeholder engagement, and business planning.
  • Experience working with financial institutions, development sector organizations, and donor-funded projects.
  • Excellent negotiation, facilitation, and relationship management skills.
