The Position:
District Coordinator reports to Sr. Manager Programme, and is based at respective District Office. This position is the focal point at district level for effective coordination both internally and externally to ensure smooth implementation of all programmes.
Significance:
District Coordinator has an important role in providing extensive support to programme teams, implementing various programmes. Geographically present closer to the field to ensure effective internal coordination in terms of programme activities, logistics, administrative affair and manage the external affairs with district administration, LEAs, Communities, Social and Political notables etc. resulting in success of projects. Provides insight to Sr. Manager, assisting in decision making and evaluating programmes.
District Coordinator must ensure:
Programme Management:
Close coordination with all stakeholders both internally and externally.
Completion of projects according to timelines & allocated Budget.
All project activities are well coordinated and conducted smoothly.
Compliance with all Programme protocols and SOPs.
Monitoring of project progress and reporting internally and externally, as needed.
Administration and Logistics:
All organization policies and procedures are understood and implemented at district and field level. Effective and efficient utilization of resources.
Finance and Accounting:
Close coordination with HO finance team for timely availability of funds to conduct project activities.
Timely and accurate reporting / submission of closing and proper record keeping at District office.
Team Management:
Facilitate HR in identifying, selection, orientation, training and motivation of staff based in District office.
Specific Responsibilities:
Effective planning and implementation of project activities in close coordination with Programme team.
Ensure compliance with Programme protocols and SOPs in all activities and documentation.
Strong liaison through regular interactions with Local District Administration, LEAs, Social, Religious and Political representatives and other stakeholders.
Close coordination with Social Organizer for ensure effective Social Organization input.
Play leading role in conflict resolution both internally and externally.
Facilitate Donor Visits.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to Sr. Manager Programme.
Provide feedback to Sr. Programme Manager on current programmes as well as new opportunities.
Provide feedback to Programme Managers on qualitative aspect of programme activities.
Provide feedback to concerned manager on performance of Programme officers / Engineers based in District office and in field.
Assign responsibilities to District Admin and Finance coordinators.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports / documents to Finance and proper record keeping.
Arrange all logistics requirements in close coordination with Admin.
Ensure policies and SOPs are understood and followed at District level.
Coordinate with HR in shortlisting, hiring, training & other HR decisions for the staff based at District.
Ensure Safety and Security of all staff based in or visiting concerned District.

Authority:
District Coordinator, will exercise his/her authority in the selection, advancements and/or human resource decisions as envisaged in company policies and relevant procedure manuals. The financial authority will also be governed by financial policies, rules & regulations.
Internal and External Interactions:
Manager Programme / Coordinators: to coordinate project’s resources and logistics needs. Also provide feedback on project progress and deliverables.
Social Mobilizers: to coordinate input of Social Organizers for Social feasibility of Projects and to ensure quality involvement of Community Institutions. Sr. Accounts Officer: To ensuring timely availability of funds and closing of accounts.
Sr. HR & Admin Officers: to cater to hiring, appraisal and other HR related decision. Also coordinate for Programme Procurement and logistics needs. Govt. Officials / Others: Liaison with District Administration, LEAs, Political, social and religious notables to ensure favourable conditions for organization cause, mission, goals, project implementation and expansion.
