The programme aims to empower communities, particularly women, by organizing them into livestock producer groups for collective production and the establishment of community-led livestock markets. The Knowledge Management and Communication coordinator will support the project's communication and visibility needs, ensuring alignment with organizational and donor guidelines.
The Knowledge Management & Communication Coordinator plays an important role by proactively liaising with the cross-functional teams to develop all marketing and communications collateral to build an image of the Project. This role also requires a proactive approach to program-related marketing and advertising campaigns, public relations, content production, and media inquiries.
Specifically, the incumbent will :
- Develop and manage content for traditional media and ORGANIZATION digital channels, including drafting documentation, and communications, coordinating with designers, and aligning with donor requirements.
- Create targeted audio/visual content such as radio programs, video documentaries, and digital content for effective project messaging.
- Conduct field visits to collect and compile case studies, testimonials, and success stories; develop programme brochures, fact sheets, infographics, and other marketing collateral.
- Collaborate with ORGANIZATION’s programme team and partners to manage behavior change communication activities and build communication capacity among partners.
- Oversee the programme’s social media presence, manage content for digital platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, YouTube), and ensure alignment with organizational and donor guidelines.
- Support knowledge product development, including reports, success stories, and presentations; ensure high-quality visual and written outputs for donor reporting, meetings, and publications.
- Coordinate with donor communication teams for visibility efforts, liaise with implementing partners, and manage targeted communication plans.
- Contribute to organizing and promoting donor missions, conferences, and industry/media engagement events.
Required Education; Experience and Skills:
- Master’s degree in media, communications, social sciences, project management, business/ public administration, or related fields.
- Minimum 5- 7 years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations, ideally within the development sector. Expertise in developing high-quality communication products (success stories, program brochures, newsletters, case studies, etc.) in the English language.
- Experience in managing social media platforms and website management and familiarity with applications, software, and programs for audio and video content development.
- Proficiency in video content production, including editing software.
- Proven ability to develop high-quality communication products (e.g., brochures, newsletters, case studies) in English.
- Experience in social media and website management.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
