Organization’s Background:

A National Level NGO engaged in Live Stock, advocacy, campaigning, community mobilization, research, networking, challenging anti poor policies, plans and actions at local, national and international level with different coalitions. Since its inception, covered at least 22 districts of Balochistan and has worked to ensure a peaceful and secure environment within communities. The main Goal is to eliminate poverty and violence from society by means of encouraging human rights and civic education culture.


Job Overview/Summary. 

The Team Lead will provide overall technical leadership and strategic direction for effective implementation of project activities, ensuring high-quality delivery of Farmer Field School (FFS) interventions through strong planning, supervision, and coordination. S/he will lead the development and standardization of training curricula and tools aligned with project objectives, while strengthening the capacity of Master Trainers and Field Facilitators through continuous mentorship and guidance. The role also involves ensuring effective coordination with government departments, partners, and donors for smooth implementation, monitoring field activities to achieve targets and indicators on time, and maintaining quality assurance in line with donor and organizational standards. In addition, the Team Lead will support reporting, documentation, and evidence generation to track progress and demonstrate project outcomes.

Major Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

Field Implementation & Supervision

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day field operations within the assigned lot. 

  • Ensure effective implementation of FFS, learning sites, and community outreach activities. 

  • Monitor field activities to ensure alignment with project plans and targets. 

Team Management

  • Supervise field staff including facilitators and specialists. 

  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and performance monitoring of team members. 

  • Ensure proper task allocation and accountability within the team. 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Coordinate with local government departments, NGOs, INGOs, and community leaders. 

  • Facilitate strong community engagement and participation in project activities. 

  • Support partnerships to enhance project effectiveness and sustainability. 


Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track field-level progress and ensure timely reporting to the Regional Manager. 

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of field data and documentation. 

  • Support monitoring and evaluation activities, including field verifications. 

Technical Oversight

  • Ensure implementation of best practices in livestock management, NRM, and climate-smart approaches. 

  • Support delivery of training sessions and technical interventions in the field. 

  • Ensure quality standards in FFS sessions and learning activities. 

Coordination & Communication

  • Maintain regular coordination with Regional Manager and other team members. 

  • Share updates, challenges, and field insights for timely decision-making. 

  • Facilitate smooth communication between field teams and management.


       Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Provide overall technical leadership and supervision of Farmer Field School (FFS) activities 

  • Ensure high-quality, consistent implementation across all project areas 

  • Supervise Master Trainers and Field Facilitators 

  • Conduct regular field visits for monitoring and support 

  • Provide mentoring and capacity building to strengthen team performance 

  • Lead design and adaptation of FFS curricula in line with project objectives 

  • Oversee planning and execution of field activities in coordination with stakeholders (e.g., LDDD) 

  • Monitor progress against targets and review field reports 

  • Ensure quality assurance of training delivery 

  • Address technical and operational challenges to ensure timely implementation


      Other Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements. 

  • Promote participatory approaches and inclusive community engagement. 

  • Participate in training and capacity-building initiatives. 

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.


Job Specification:

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Livestock Management, Animal Breeding & Genetics, Food Technology, Natural Resource Management, or related field. 

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in managing field-based projects. 

  • Experience in large-scale livestock, NRM, or community capacity-building projects. 


Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills. 

  • Proven experience in stakeholder coordination and community engagement. 

  • Ability to manage multiple field activities effectively.


Language Skills:  

  • Excellent command of English; working knowledge of Urdu and Pashtu Language is Mandatory.
