Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: CA, ACCA or MBA (Finance)
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in a senior finance role, preferably in NGOs or donor-funded projects.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of donor compliance and grant management
- Sound understanding of Pakistani regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Excel, including dashboard creation.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning aligned with organizational and program priorities.
- Advise management on financial sustainability, cost efficiency, and resource allocation.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee accounting, treasury, and financial reporting functions.
- Ensure accurate recording of all transactions, including grants, agency costs, and exchange differences.
- Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Conduct Budget vs. Actual analysis and support decision-making.
Budgeting & Program Financial Support
- Ensure availability and accurate recording of project and administrative budgets.
- Review budgets against donor agreements for compliance.
- Support program teams in preparing realistic, compliant project budgets
Donations & Donor Fund Management
- Ensure proper recording and tracking of donor funds and project budgets.
- Maintain alignment between financial records and donor agreements.
- Monitor and follow up on donor receivables in a timely manner.
Advances & Receivables Management
- Monitor and follow up on staff and project advances to ensure timely adjustment.
Banking & Treasury Management
- Maintain effective banking relationships and oversee foreign exchange transactions.
- Ensure timely and accurate bank reconciliations.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and applicable regulations (FBR, SECP, EAD, PCP).
- Enforce adherence to organizational financial policies and procedures.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Work closely with Programs, Operations, MEAL and other departments.
- Partner with other departments to enhance donations, optimize costs and ensure sustainable growth.
- Support Legal & Regulatory Affairs in agreements with all stakeholders.
Audit & Assurance
- Lead the annual financial closing process.
- Coordinate external and internal audits and ensure timely resolution of observations.
Cross Departmental Collaboration
- Work closely with Programs, Operations, and MEAL teams to ensure financial alignment.
- Support donor reporting, proposals, and agreements from a financial perspective.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building
- Supervise and mentor finance staff.
- Build team capacity in donor compliance, financial systems, and reporting.
